Construction and Commissioning

We have considerable experience in project managing the build of marinas, having done so in locations as diverse as the UK, Malta, Turkey, Grenada, Egypt and Singapore.

Contractor selection
We are comfortable working alongside existing contractors or running the tendering and selection process to appoint contractors and suppliers. Developments with a sizeable shoreside component are usually led by mainstream construction companies, but the need for specialist marina expertise should not be under-estimated.

Project management
The quality of the project planning and management is often reflected in the quality of the finished marina, and is always a factor in the final capital costs. It is therefore essential that key personnel have the relevant skills and experience to work with diverse stakeholders in what is often a pressurised environment.

Commissioning
On completion of works, our commissioning programme involves the testing and approval of all facilities and systems prior to starting operation. At this point the facility is handed over to the operational team appointed to run the completed marina - either the client’s team or Camper & Nicholsons, if we are also contracted for the ongoing management.
