On approaching Grand Harbour, the breakwater - with St Elmo lighthouse on its eastern end - is easy to identify. Leaving this to starboard, and the short breakwater off Fort Ricasoli to port, the impressive Fort St Angelo is then rounded to port to enter the final approach channel, marked with small red and green buoys.
Due to the volume of commercial traffic in certain areas of Grand Harbour, yachts should contact Valletta Port Control on channel 12 when twelve miles out. It is likely yachts will be asked to call again 1 mile from the entrance, to request permission to enter.
Contact Grand Harbour Marina on channel 13 for berthing instructions or to book your berth.
