Cesme's Aegean climate

The region of Cesme enjoys a typically Mediterranean climate, with long hot dry summers and mild wetter winters. The entire region receives a wonderful 300 days of sunshine a year.

The summer season begins in April and lasts until the end of October with plenty of hot sunny days. Unlike some other Turkish resorts, the region of Cesme benefits from the cooling Imbat breeze that blows off the Aegean Sea and is renowned for its clean, cool air, offering welcome relief from the heat of the sun even during the hottest months of July and August.

During April and May, the Cesme sees average daytime temperatures of 18°C - 23°C, 9 hours of sunshine a day, and low humidity. The waters of the Aegean are still cool this early in the season.

In June, daytime temperatures in Cesme reach 25°C with 13 hours of sunshine a day, and pleasant night-time temperatures of up to 18°C.

Peak season months of July and August see highs of 27°C - 29°C, an increased level of humidity and as much as 14 hours of sunshine a day - which help to maintain the sea temperature of around 23°C.

By September, the heat begins to cool down, with Cesme still enjoying average daytime highs of 26°C and 11 hours of sunshine.

October in Cesme can offer very pleasant conditions, without the high humidity levels, and still the opportunity for sunbathing on the beaches late into the year. Average daytime highs reach 20°C and the resort still enjoys at least 8 hours of sunshine, with a slightly increased chance of rain. Winters see mild weather, with highs still around 11°C even in the coolest month of January, and the wettest month of December only receiving 125mm of rainfall.
